303 Project Launches 2019 Race Season
at the Redlands Classic, March 13-17
11 Races on Tap in 2019 for UCI Continental Pro Cycling Team, Including Races in Canada, Portugal, Romania and Spain
Boulder, CO, Tuesday, March 5th, 2019… Fresh off last month’s Northern California training camp, the 303 Project professional cycling teamand its riders are set to kick-off their 2019 race calendar March 13-17, when they return to California for the 2019 Redlands Classic. The Redlands Classic is the longest continuous running stage race in the United Sated, having hosted its first race in 1985 and annually attracting a who’s-who list of competitors from the highest echelon of the sport, including world champions, Olympians and Grand Tour riders.
From Redlands, CA, the 303 Project’s April through June race schedule will take the team across North America to Fayetteville, AR, for the Joe Martin Stage Race(UCI 2.2, April 4-7); Silver City, NM for the Tour of the Gila(UCI 2.2, May 1-5); Saguenay, Canada for the GP Saguenay(UCI 2.2, June 13-16); Quebec, Canada for the Tour de Beauce(UCI 2.2, June 19-23) and Knoxville, TN for the US Pro Nationals(June 27-30).
In July, the 303 Project will embark on a month-long trek across parts of Europe where they’ll race in Romania’s Tour of Sibiu(UCI 2.1, July 3-7); Portugal’s GP Torres Vedras(2.2, July 11-14) and Spain’s Prueba Villafranca – Ordiziako Classica(UCI 1.1, July 25) and Curcuito de Getxco(UCI 1.1, July 31).
Upon their return to Colorado, 303 Project riders will have less than two weeks to re-acclimate themselves to the States, before heading off to compete in the Tour of Utah(UCI 2.HC, August 12-18), capping off the squad’s 2019 road race season – its most ambitious yet.
